When I was planning the bird theme, I thought I would either collect branches outside or buy some so that E could “build a nest” just like a bird. When it comes down to it I know I’d rather not bring the ‘outdoors in’ like that, but seriously, buying twigs? I don’t think so…
So, I brought the Silhouette Cameo into play. Why not use it to make my branches?
I started out by simply finding a nice graphic of a branch. Then, I traced it in Silhouette Studio and placed as many (in three sizes) that could fit on a single 12×12 page. I put a brown piece of cardstock through and came away with a pretty batch of branches! I thought I’d do a second sheet but one seemed like enough.
E understood right away and enjoyed carefully stacking and arranging the branches into place.
