At our local science center (one of our favorite spots!) they have a very cool twisty tube where you put in ping pong balls and try to catch them with a net. Every time we go E tries his hardest to catch those balls!

With that activity in mind, we bought a small bamboo net in the dollar spot at Target (and it was actually a dollar). We brought it home and tried to catch plastic golf balls. While fun, it is still a little hard for E to react that quickly. So with that and SpongeBob’s jellyfishing in mind, we came up with this!

Summer night bubble catching! Fun for toddlers and inexpensive!

Bubbles
Bubble device of your choice – I would recommend a bubble gun (check online, Target or Kohl’s!)

The rest is easy — blow bubbles and catch them! We took turns. E goes to bed “late” (in kid terms) so we have a couple dark hours on summer nights — and this is perfect for fun on the porch!
